This workshop\u00a0provided information on Federal employment discrimination laws including what is prohibited, how these laws are enforced, punishments for violations, and protected classes. Participants learned the different types of sexual harassment and what employers must do to protect themselves including best practices for conducting investigations. Information was also\u00a0provided on workplace violence including risk factors and prevention strategies.\u00a0 This workshop aimed to\u00a0help organizations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reduce their\u00a0risk of being held liable in employee management situations<\/li>\n<li>Create a workplace environment that treats employees both fairly and legally<\/li>\n<li>Eliminate harassment and discrimination to create a safe work environment for all<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"-webkit-transition: all 0.2s ease; transition: all 0.2s ease; margin: 0px 0px 14px; color: #4d4d4d; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 18px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 28px; orphans: auto; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 1; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: #fcfcfc;\"><em>*This workshop was\u00a0for informational purposes only.\u00a0 The foundation staff and trainers are not lawyers and are not providing legal advice.
