Participants will receive tools and sample policies on proven practices that increase board engagement and accountability. \u00a0This workshop is restricted to executive directors and board members. We strongly encourage organizational teams comprised of the executive director and a board member participate in the workshop together. In this session, you will learn:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Board of Directors legal, ethical, and ethical duties<\/li>\n<li>The important roles and responsibilities to include in a board member job description<\/li>\n<li>How to foster greater board engagement and accountability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Board Governance 101\u00a0workshop is on\u00a0<strong>Tuesday, July 22, 2014<\/strong>\u00a0from\u00a0<strong>8:30 am-12:30 pm<\/strong>\u00a0at the\u00a0Greater New Orleans located at 1055 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70130. The workshop will be in Suite 120 on the first floor. Greater New Orleans Foundation grantees will have priority for registration.
