NEW ORLEANS, LA<\/b> (August 25, 2021) – Today, the Greater New Orleans Foundation announced that after nearly 8 years leading the Greater New Orleans Foundation\u2019s discretionary grantmaking and programmatic work, Carmen James Randolph will be departing to pursue a new venture. The foundation\u2019s robust programmatic work will continue under the leadership of Kellie Chavez Greene who will serve as Interim Vice President of Programs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cI want to thank Carmen for her dedication to the Foundation over these past years, <\/span>said<\/b> Andy Kopplin, President and CEO of the Greater New Orleans Foundation<\/b>. \u201cOur Foundation would not be where it is today without her leadership and vision. From modernizing our grantmaking process to leading the Foundation\u2019s disaster strategy<\/span>, her impact on the organization has been profound. <\/span>We wish her the best in her next endeavor and know she will continue to make an impact at the Women\u2019s Foundation of the South.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am very proud of the work that we have done together at the Greater New Orleans Foundation\u201d, said <\/span>Carmen James Randolph<\/b>.\u00a0 \u201cI look forward to continuing to serve women and girls of color in Louisiana and throughout the South in my leadership journey ahead.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cCarmen\u2019s experience\u00a0 and leadership will certainly be missed here at the Foundation\u201d, <\/span>said Robert\u00a0 Bories, Board Chair of the Greater New Orleans Foundation.<\/b> \u201cSince 2014, she has worked tirelessly to elevate the work of the Foundation at the local and national level\u00a0 and has committed her time to develop a robust community driven team. While we\u2019ll miss her, she will always be a member of the Greater New Orleans Foundation Family.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Kellie Chavez Greene, who has been with the Foundation since 2013, will serve as Interim Vice President of Programs. Chavez Greene is the Director of Nonprofit Leadership and Effectiveness<\/a> where she leads initiatives and implements programs that strengthen the region\u2019s nonprofits to better deliver programs that serve the community.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn my role as Director of Nonprofit Leadership and Effectiveness, I worked hand-in hand with Carmen to create a strong foundation for our grant making and programmatic work,\u201d said <\/span>Kellie Chavez Greene, Interim Vice President of Programs. <\/b>\u201cI am excited for this opportunity to expand my leadership role with the Foundation and to lead and support our talented Programs team.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The Greater New Orleans Foundation\u2019s Nonprofit Leadership and Effectiveness program will remain a significant component of the Foundation\u2019s work. It will continue to provide robust programming support from Foundation staff and consulting partners. A number of exciting workshops and training opportunities are scheduled for 2021.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
