Nonprofit Essentials for the COVID-19 Pandemic<\/h2>\n

The outbreak of the new Coronavirus (COVID-19), a global pandemic as declared by the World Health Organization, is on everyone\u2019s mind. With local transmission having occurred in the Greater New Orleans region, the time for action is now.<\/p>\n

Nothing is more important than health and safety; and, while many nonprofits have already begun taking precautionary measures, each new advisory makes it clear that aggressive actions are needed. At the same time as your organization takes steps to meet your mission while also protecting the health and safety of your employees and clients, it is critically important to keep these constituency groups informed with strong communication and to provide your employees with the tools they need to keep themselves and their work environment safe. Engaging your employees in planning for how this pandemic may impact your organization is also critical.<\/p>\n

The Greater New Orleans Foundation wants to help the nonprofits in our region be best prepared for the disruptions this new coronavirus will cause. Therefore, the Greater New Orleans Foundation has started a free webinar series to provide additional resources to help nonprofits in our region better respond to public health threats and any associated operational disruptions that may result from this pandemic.<\/p>\n

This webinar series, Nonprofit Essentials for the COVID-19 Pandemic, will feature experts in the field and cover such topics as Communication Practices, Human Resources \u2013 Supporting Staff, Short-Term Financial Responsiveness, and Continuity of Operations.<\/p>\n

The Greater New Orleans Foundation is helping nonprofits in our region respond and prepare for the disruptions the coronavirus pandemic is causing for our clients, customers, staff, and operations. We are continuing our response and support of nonprofits by providing free virtual town halls, webinars, and resources on the most critical topics to help nonprofits in our region respond to the public health threats and the associated operational disruptions that will continue to result from this pandemic.<\/p>\n
