Strategic Partnerships Officer

As the Strategic Partnerships Officer at the Greater New Orleans Foundation, Jilla structures targeted investments with corporate social responsibility teams and foundations to (1) expand the leadership and capacity of nonprofits; (2) increase economic opportunity for families; (3) attack the underlying drivers of injustice and inequity; and (4) respond to disasters such as Covid 19, hurricanes, and floods. Jilla also supports the Foundation’s inclusive philanthropy and equity initiatives by working to inspire and support greater diversity and inclusiveness in all aspects of philanthropy.

Jilla’s career spans twenty years in both the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors where she has helped leading-edge organizations in Washington, DC and New Orleans. This includes the Earth Conservation Corps, the Latin American Youth Center, and the Center for Nonprofit Advancement. Jilla also worked with many nonprofits as a nonprofit management consultant.

Jilla is an ardent supporter of the arts, the environment, equitable health care, and adoption. She serves as a Trustee for the IMH Foundation.  She also serves on the board of directors for the Louisiana Children’s Museum, the Uptown Music Theatre, and the NeuroCritical Care Foundation.

Jilla earned her Master of Philanthropy & Development from LaGrange College and is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is currently pursuing certification as a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®).

Jilla lives in New Orleans with her husband, Fred, and three children.
