James Logan

James Logan joined the staff of the Greater New Orleans Foundation as a Program Officer in June 2019. James is a mission-driven advocate with over fifteen years of experience in planning, creating and maintaining social justice entities. Previously, he was a Senior Associate at Converge, a social justice consulting firm dedicated to creating a radically just new world where communities of color thrive.

Prior to that role, James served as the Reentry Services Program Manager for the City of New Orleans, focused on improving the outcomes and opportunities for formerly incarcerated people. Prior to his work with the City of New Orleans, James oversaw a national youth development nonprofit focused on resource mapping and civic engagement and worked as a community development attorney.

James serves as the President-Elect of the 100 Black Men of Metro New Orleans, serves as a board member of KID smART, The Welcoming Project – Travis Hill Schools and the New Orleans Arts Education Alliance and is a co-founder of the New Orleans Reentry Task Force.

Mr. Logan received a B.A. in Political Science from Loyola College in Maryland and a J.D. from Fordham Law School.
