Devin T. Jones

Communications Manager

Devin T. “Dev” Jones, born and raised in the 7th Ward of New Orleans , is a graduate of Edna Karr High School and the “Mecca” Howard University with a B.A. in Media, Journalism, and Film Studies with a minor in Afro-American studies from the Cathy Hughes School of Communications. He joined the Foundation in December 2021. Devin works to elevate content creation, storytelling and strategic communications efforts for the Foundation.

Prior to joining the Foundation, He served as an Educator for 5 years in the city of New Orleans. He is a former Congressional Communications Intern for Cedric Richmond-LA, a social media intern for WJLA/ABC7 in Arlington, VA, and he is also a 2017  YAALI-Ghana Scholar through his alma mater Howard.

Devin is an accomplished radio host, programming director and entertainment/lifestyle blogger having worked for WHBC 96.3 HD3 (Howard’s Student Run Radio Station),WHUR 96.3 FM, Roland Martin Unfiltered, and Howard University New Service in Washington, D.C.

Devin is a high school offensive line football coach and mentor to former students throughout the city of New Orleans, a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., and is currently candidate for a M.S. in Strategic Communications and Social Media Management from Arkansas State University. Devin enjoys traveling, writing movie and television scripts, cooking, and spending time with his family and friends.
